The Group Therapy Package is extremely helpful for any mental health professional who leads groups. This package consists of two documents. There is a three-page Group Guidelines contract that spells out all of the guidelines typically needed to run any group. However, Dr. Beaton has added several other guidelines that she has developed during her 24 years of leading groups and teaching Advanced Group Therapy to doctoral students. These additional guidelines have really helped her and her students manage difficult group therapy behaviors right from the start. The second form that is part of this package is a very concise Group Therapy Record Form. This form provides an easy way to take group therapy progress notes by circling common interventions, checking off the client's style of relating, and several other quick methods of making group therapy note-taking a breeze. Each form is designed in Microsoft Word format (.doc) so that you may edit them as you see appropriate. Every place in a document where you need to enter information particular to your practice (e.g., your name, location, fees, etc.) will be in a bright blue font to prompt you for this information.
