Did you know that it takes an average of 17 years for clients with OCD to find the right kind of treatment? Exposure and Response Prevention is the Gold Standard in first-line evidence-based treatment for OCD and Anxiety.

What to expect in supervision for certification:

Dr. Ashlenn Von Wiegand and Hamilton Von Wiegand, LPC really strive to create an open space for learning and growth. During supervision, you can expect valued resources, handouts, metaphors, and other tools to help your ERP work with clients thrive. They give honest and respectful feedback to ensure each clinician gains a wealth of knowledge as to how to implement the most effective interventions for clients struggling with OCD and other anxiety spectrum disorders.
Throughout the course of your ERP certification journey, you are expected to receive a minimum of two individual supervision sessions with your supervisor ($225/session) and two group supervision sessions ($80/session). If you book all four sessions at once, you will receive a discounted price of $540 for everything! You are welcome to take advantage of more than the required two individual sessions and two group sessions should you feel it would help you navigate various cases with your clients and prepare for the certification case conceptualization and recording assessment.
In your final individual supervision session, your supervisor will finish reviewing your case conceptualization and give you feedback on your ERP recording assessment. Provided in your certification resources is the grading rubric for both your case conceptualization form and your ERP recording assessment requirements, as well as a checklist of what to provide your supervisors during your final supervision session. Please note you must have your client complete the written consent form provided in your ERP certification resources prior to recording your client and submitting it with your recording to your supervisor.
We want to ensure we are being ethical in all aspects of this certification process. Should you fail the ERP recording assessment, your recording will be sent to the alternate supervisor for an independent review. If both supervisors do not come to an agreement regarding your passing, you are required to take an additional supervision session and submit a brand-new ERP recording for feedback from the supervisor. It is our goal for every clinician to provide excellent ERP therapy for their clients; therefore, we want to make sure you are practicing within your scope and be the best ERP clinician for your clients to make progress, and your practice will thrive.
