Workshop Description:

Complex trauma can feel overwhelming to navigate without specific, structured intervention tools at your disposal. Schema Therapy for Complex Trauma is a two-day, skills-focused training designed for therapists who want to deepen their ability to conceptualize and treat complex trauma using the schema therapy model. Participants will learn the historical foundations of schema therapy, the structure of its four treatment phases, and how to conduct effective case conceptualization with safety and attunement at the core. Through demonstrations and application-focused teaching, the training explores experiential schema-healing techniques—including imagery rescripting and corrective emotional experiences—alongside strategies for breaking behavioral patterns and preparing clients for termination. Emphasizing mode work, limited reparenting, and the unique challenges of complex trauma presentations, this workshop equips clinicians with a clear, compassionate, and practical roadmap for delivering transformative schema therapy.
