Presented by:

Becky Beaton-York, Ph.D., NBCFCH

Dr. Beaton-York is a Licensed Psychologist and the Founder of The Knowledge Tree with over 34 years of experience. Dr. Beaton has been on the Georgia Psychological Association Ethics Committee since 2010, and she was Ethics Chair for eight of those years. She is an adjunct professor at Emory University's Department of Psychology, where she teaches ethics to their faculty members. Dr. Beaton-York was voted Counselor Educator of the Year by LPCA-GA in 2005 and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015.

For the purposes of the Clinical Hypnotherapy Certification courses, it's important to know that Dr. Beaton-York is a National Board Certified Fellow in Clinical Hypnotherapy (NBCFCH) through the National Board for Certified Clinical Hypnotherapists (NBCCH). Dr. Beaton-York earned her Fellowship with NBCCH for her extensive years of training and experience in hypnotherapy since 1995. She has taught thousands of workshops both nationally and internationally. However, for many years, Dr. Beaton-York only taught hypnotherapy certification courses to mental health professionals all over the United States, Mexico, and South Africa.

Ellen Baker, LPC

Ellen is a Licensed Professional Counselor and runs a solo private practice, Counseling with Heart, in the north metro Atlanta area. Ellen received her BA in Psychology from Emory University in 1989 and her MS in Community Counseling from Georgia State University in 1997. She began her career as a counselor working with youth in residential care, providing strengths-based, family-focused services. She later transitioned to foster care, working for a private agency as a program supervisor. After several years in this role, she became a state trainer for this same agency, providing training, clinical consultation, and program oversight for program employees and providers.

Ellen began her private practice in 2013. She enjoys helping clients who are managing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and the impact of trauma. She is also committed to supporting fellow therapists in their personal healing work. Ellen is an Advanced Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, received a Clinical Certification for Stress, Management, and Emotional Management from HeartMath, and is a HeartMath Certified Trainer. She has advanced training in Brainspotting, EMDR, EFT (tapping), and IADC therapy. She also provides coaching, training, and consultation. Ellen values the power of using brain/body approaches and energy psychology to facilitate healing and growth for her clients.

Ellen is known for her unusual combination of being extremely knowledgeable yet down-to-earth & easy to understand, while also being playful and humorous. Not only will you learn a ton, you'll have fun doing so.

Refund policy:

Demand is very high for this program, and space is limited. Therefore, cancellations of registrations for the Hypnotherapy Certification Program must be received no less than thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the Certification program. Please note that payments made via Credit Card have certain fees associated with them, some of which are not recoupable and are therefore non-refundable by The Knowledge Tree. As such, if a refund for the Hypnotherapy Certification Program is requested, there will be a $75 fee deducted from the amount of the refund, which again, must be made 30 days prior to the start date. This fee does not apply to cash or check payments. However, these also must be made at least 30 days prior to the start of the program. If you request a refund within the acceptable timeframe but have completed any of the on-demand courses included in the bundle, you will receive a refund less the cost of that individual workshop (which can be seen on the individual workshop pages linked above).
